Yesterday I finished Oscar Wilde’s story about Dorian Grey. This time I didn’t notice and read a rewritten book, adopted for a certain level of English learners. I noticed from the beginning that there was virtually nothing unknown words and was very surprised about it. In the middle of the book my suspicions reached the […]
Hercule Poirot’s Christmas
I’ve finished another book by Agatha Christie about the prominent detective. Like the last book, this story was written with too many old-fashioned words so the reading was quite tough sometimes. Though the plot is compelling, as usual for this author.
Casablanca
It’s hard to imagine that movie from 40s could be so easy-to-watch. I don’t really like these black-and-white stories with foolish effects and out-of date plots. However Casablanca has it’s own style and plot about relationships that actual in all the times.
Cinnabons
I used to bring home this sweet pastry on Friday before Coronovirus lockdown happened. But there is no end of restrictions and plenty of time for cooking, so I decided to make them on my own.
Catch 22
Yesterday was the Victory Day in Russia when Nazi’s Germany surrendered. We decided to look at the war from another point of view and watch American movie Catch 22.

Halloween party
I’ve finished another book from Litress library site. This time it was a detective story Halloween party by Agatha Christie. It was quite hard to read this book full of old-fashoin words. So my list with new words to leard expanded dramaticaly. Though I was rewarded with a nice plot and some witty thought of […]
Long way to falafel
I’ve finally made falafel that tastes good. I ate it for the first time long ago in one of the Moscow’s cafe and was not impressed about it at all. But during the trip to Germany I ate in at the street market and it was delisious. May be I was hungry, or it was […]
The Jelly-Bean
I’ve just finished listening an audiobook The Jelly-Bean by Scott Fitzgerald. I took it from the library at Litress and was surprised that it was not available when I searching for a new book, but after a request it was provided to me in couple hours.
