Casablanca

It’s hard to imagine that movie from 40s could be so easy-to-watch. I don’t really like these black-and-white stories with foolish effects and out-of date plots. However Casablanca has it’s own style and plot about relationships that actual in all the times.

After couple minutes I forgot that it is black and white and just followed the complicated story. The movie is full of satirical jokes and keeps your attention from the very beginning to the end.

Story is about love story between Rick, bar owner in Casablanca, Morocco and woman Ilsa, the wife of prominnent resistance leader. They met in Paris, when Ilsa thought that her husband Laszlo was dead and she fell in love with Rick. They decided to escape from the soon to be occupied Paris but in departure day Rick recieved a letter that Ilsa would not go. He dicided that she betrayed him and lived broken harted for many years.

But Ilsa explained in Casablanca her actions and Rick decided to help her escape from the Marocco. Another side line is about “letters of transit” that became in poseccions on Rick after series of events in his club. And as a result Rick passed this letters to Ilza and Laszlo and helped then to escape threatenning the head of police with the gun.

Endng is also quiet awesome. Head of the police, corrupted but rather human, let Rick go and he is going away from the airport to continue his fight with Nazi’s and Fashist’s regimes. I really enjoyed the film and think in original sound it would be even better. So, I ‘am going to watch it again some time later.
