I’ve loved Asian cuisine for many years, and recently, the nearby Aldi had an “Asia Week” with a huge selection of ingredients for Asian cooking. The best part? They were selling a wok frying pan!
So I spent about 100 euros on the wok, various sauces, different types of noodles, vegetables, and seafood. With all these ingredients and some experiments guided by YouTube, my cooking adventure began.
First experiment: noodles with vegetables and shrimp. It turned out really well — just like something from an Asian café!
Next, I tried chicken with rice… and failed. The rice ended up like a porridge. So I bought rice vinegar and I’m ready to continue experimenting.
Although my wife isn’t thrilled about the kitchen being covered in oil, I’m having a lot of fun learning something new and exotic.
