In August the weather is to hot for working, so I decided to take a couple days for vacation to go to Bavaria. In my mind Bavaria is the city of Oktoberfest and BMW plant. In summer time only the second one is available. Therefore, we went to BMW museum as soon as arrived to Munich.
The building itself is wonderfull with a huge logo of the company on the top.
Inside museum is also great. Halls, stairs, lights and multimedia objects are very unusual and even more interesting than cars themselves. At first you can learn the history of the factory: from the airplane engines production (by th way the logo depicts airplane propeler) to motorcycles production after World War I, airplanes assembly during World War II and finally cars production.
It also a big hall where you can see electro cars and bikes – the future of transport development.
On the ground floor it is a big collection of historic cars, where presented almost every model produced by Bayerische Motoren Werke.
Near the exit there is a gift store where you can buy car models and souvenirs.
The only thing I didn’t like is the lack of interactive objects. For kids it’t not to much fun in looking at old cars. They would rather sit inside and turn the stearing weel. But for some reason authors didn’t put any car to sit in.
