Pre-election fun

I can tell you that I love Stephen Sackur, an interviewer form the BBC. In his program he is asking his guests so uncomfortable questions in so straightforward way, that there is little room for them to escape from answering them. In one of his latest program he invited Ksenia Sobchak to talk about her presidential ambitions. For now, only audio is available but it is enough for me.

I have listened this episode and can tell you that her English is much better than Navalny. And I agree with her that Alexey has little chances to become a candidate because of his conviction at criminal case. In this case millions of people will loose their candidate in election. In this case we all need backup plan. And at this point I starts wondering why is it looks so close to campaign 2012. Do you remember Prokhorov, well-known, but having high anti-rating oligarch who popped up from nowhere and started to talk about new political party, about an alternative in election?

Same thing here. Like Prokhorov, Sobchak involved in tons of scandals and very few people aware about her new life as a journalist and decent wife.
Like Prochorov she is promising us to establish some new opposition party after the election. And in same way as Prokhorod did, she accusing president in his misdeeds – in a very gentle and polite way, mostly talking about “the System”.

Of course I am not 100% sure, but it looks like president administration is trying to use the old trick for upcoming election. All this political movements appearence (just compare Putin Team today with All-Russia National Front in 2011), same candidates we have been seeing fro last 20 years, and couple new faces so umpopular that they have no chance to win. However, let see if they going to serve us some new dishes!
