The first time I’ve heard about Navalny was the article in 2010 that he demanded to punish Putin for flying BE-200 without pilot license. And I was astonisched the way he chose to undermine state propaganda. Since that time I’ve read his blog and saw how he developed from bloger and local activist to a prominent politicial.
I took part in several on his projects: Rosjama, Parlament election of 2011, Moscow major campain, several rallies against Putin and his system…
In all his projects he was very inovative, open, sincere and clear. Lukely, I had a chance to thank him for all his efforts personally.
No suprise, that Putin and his allies fear him so much that odered to posisoned him in 2021. And when failed, he was imprisoned, but still very influential. And now they succeed in killing Navalny. I don’t believe that it’s a coincidence, that all his lawers were procecuted, he was moved to remote prison and died. Looks like they cut him from the world to conceal the murder.
After shock in 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine and launched full-scaled war, I took the murder of Navalny hard, but not that aweful. However, the chances that Russia after Putin will transformed in a genuine democrasy significantly dropped. Today they killed not a politician, not a prominent person, but a hope for a better Russia.
