Marrow spread

It was a period in my life when I ate marrow spread a lot. My father worked in sales for a company that produced variety of canned goods. So, sometimes instead of money he got a lot of canned vegies. Marrow spread was the best among them. I could eat entire jar in one attempt.

And now it’s a marrow season so I  decided to cook a meal from the past. I’s rather simple and takes less than an hour.

At first you need to cut four marrows and one onion and grate one carrot.

Then put onion on the pan and fry till the golden color, add a carrot afterwards and fry for 7 minutes. Now, it’s time for marrows – put them on the pan and add some salt to get it’s juice out. After couple minutes add smashed garlic, a couple of bay leaves, close the lead and stir for half an hour.

Then add a teaspoon of vinegar, salt and pepper and wait for another five minutes. As a final stage grind with a blender and you are ready to go!
