Not long ago I was bolstering that I have my own music server and don’t need to pay monthly to listen music I’ve already purchased. You could imagine my surprise when I saw the message in android app that my trial period of Subsonic license expired and I need to pay 1$ a month to use android app. Or to use web player, with no option to download songs in phone memory to listen offline.
It turnes out that subsonic project closed it’s sourse code some time ago and started earn money. I almost gave up, but found that one good man pick up the last open sourse version of subsonic and started his own free project – airsonic with identical interface and same functions. So I spent another two or three painfull hours installing Airsonic and could enjoy my favourite music anytime and anywhere for a price of electricity my home server consumes
By the way, the new album of Slot is very political, unusual and cool. Very happy they still could surpise their listeners.
