Principles during meditation:
- abstain from judgments - purpose of meditation is just observe things around, but not to think about about their attributes or our attitude towards them
- keep patience - we need to accept that some processes require time and not to worry about slow progress
- beginners mind - we need to switch off autopilot and see things with curiosity and with fresh eyes
- trust - we need to trust the feedback from our mind without doubts. Doubts can have a reasonable basis, but often they just stopping us without any reasons behind. We need to examine them closely to find the reasons behind doubts.
- non-striving mind- setting goals for meditation leads to inappropriate expectations and ends with frustration. Important to keep in mind that meditation should not be linked to goals.
- acceptance - ability to see things as is, without comparison to mental ideal. Acceptance let us discover things as they are without prejudice.
- letting go - we are trying to keep the things, feelings and memories that are not belong to us any longer. Loss of job, end of relationship are creating attachment, impeding our mind. Let unnecessary things can liberate our mind
