Use the ordinal number for the day, with the appropriate article and case

Here are the days of the week, which are often used when specifying dates:

  • Montag – Monday
  • Dienstag – Tuesday
  • Mittwoch – Wednesday
  • Donnerstag – Thursday
  • Freitag – Friday
  • Samstag/Sonnabend – Saturday (depending on the region)
  • Sonntag – Sunday

For the year, you can say the full number, but it’s more common to split it:
