For a long time, I was thinking that people already found a way to make artificial leather, diamonds, and blood. It turns out that with blood I was wrong. In my previous job, I’ve met with couple guys who were regular donors and they told me about the constant demand for all types of blood. I was interested in all that stuff but had no time to try to donate blood myself.<\/p>\n

However recently I found a very interesting site\u00a0yadonor<\/a> where they explain everything about donation, show addresses and demands of blood stations and even provide nice loyalty system for blood donors.<\/p>\n

So I decided to try and went to Sklifosofky Hospital. Luckily I’ve never been there before, but it’s has lovely theritorry not far from city center with lots of shadow alleys and affable. Staff there is kind and nice.<\/p>\n

I fill the papers and when for the blood test laboratory. The last time I\u00a0 determined my blood type it took my local clinic about three days. This time it took the nurse just a coupe minute to put samples of blood in four different sections and then chemicals change color of the second sample – Result: Type A+<\/p>\n

After the test, I had an interview with a doctor who measures my temperature, blood pressure and asked dozens of ofquestions. Then I went for my tea with sugar and cookies and, finally to the large room for donations<\/p>\n

In about 7 minutes they collect 450 milliliters of blood and gave me 1300 rouble for a lunch to restore my energy and a paper for work with granted two day-offs.<\/p>\n

My next step would be to provide the blood center with the results of a medical assessment from my local clinic. After it, they could use my blood for transfusion. For now, they store it to make sure it’s safe for other people.<\/p>\n
